About the World Spiritist Institute

The World Spiritist Institute is a global non-profit organization committed to promoting the Spiritist Doctrine codified by Allan Kardec. Our mission is to advance Spiritism by increasing awareness, access, and engagement with its teachings, particularly in English-speaking countries where the philosophy is less known.

Spiritism is a comprehensive spiritual philosophy and science that studies the nature, origins, and evolution of spirits and their relationship with the physical world. By combining scientific rigor with philosophical inquiry, Spiritism offers practical guidance for everyday life, fostering personal growth and societal wellbeing.

Since its foundation, the World Spiritist Institute has pursued multiple initiatives to disseminate Spiritist knowledge, including publishing, translating key works, and creating networks of mini-libraries. These mini-libraries, primarily started in Peru, provide affordable access to Spiritist literature in Spanish, French, Portuguese, and English, aiming to serve over 100,000 people and foster spiritual education worldwide.

All our programs are free of cost and rely on the generous support of volunteers and donors who share our vision of a world enriched by spiritual understanding. We invite you to join us in spreading the light of Spiritism and making a positive impact globally.
